San Francisco

Millissa had a chance to spend 4 days in San Francisco with 7 of her friends. (can't imagine what that was like) They staid at the Sir Francis Drake Hotel in Union Square located in downtown San Francisco. They spent their time site seeing, riding cable cars, seeing Wicked where something with sequins had to be worn, Alcatraz, fisherman's warf, the cable car museum, Chinatown, Coit tower and Haight and Ashbury.

Photos are better than me typing so enjoy.

The street where Sir Francis Drake hotel was on. Union Street

Where we saw Wicked.

Sears Fine Food. Where we ate breakfast. If you did not get there early, there was a line that would wrap around the building. Famous for their small pancakes.
(Leslie, Andrea, Katie and Melanie)

Cool buildings...

Riding one of the cable cars.

Ghirardelli Square

Sealions usually cover the docks. They went away for some reason, but are returning.

Bucket of donuts on Pier 39.

The Rock, from the ferry.

Saying on the wall as you come down the main stairs, before starting the tour.

One of the tiny cells.

Isolation cells.

Looking up from the library at the some cells.

Visitation windows. Inmate on one side and you on the other.

Guards would walk along with guns drawn.

Haight and Ashbury (hippieville)

One of the buildings in Chinatown.

Lombard Street. The "Crookedest Street in the World"

Views from Coit Tower.

Cable car museum. Actual working cable wheels. You can see the streets the cables run on.

I LOVE San Francisco. I lived and worked there the summer after my freshman year at BYU. The hippies were alive and well! You don't see much of them anymore, but there's plenty of other stuff to see.
